At the Georgia Public Safety Training Center, we take privacy very seriously. We will never share your personal information with third parties. From time to time, we may disclose information regarding our training courses and events to comply with applicable law or the Georgia Open Records Act (O.C.G.A. §§ 50-18-70 through 77) through contact with the Open Records Custodian.
What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you register on our site or visit our website. When registering for training classes on our site, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address or social security number. You do not have to submit this information if you are not registering for training courses.
What do we use your information for?
The information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:
- To improve our website. We continually strive to improve our website based on the information and feedback we receive from you.
- To improve customer service. Your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs.
- To send periodic emails. The email address you provide for registration will only be used to send you information and updates regarding your current training classes. You may choose to receive periodic updates from GPSTC, but we will not send them to you without your consent.
How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. To start, we use a secure server. All information that is supplied which is considered sensitive is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our database. Our database is only accessed by those authorized with special access rights to our systems, and they are required to keep the information confidential.
