Financial Aid for Basic TrainingThere are programs that students who wish to enroll in GPSTC’s Basic Training courses may explore to assist with the cost of attending training. All programs require that students meet certain minimum requirements.

Staff of the GPSTC Basic Training Division’s Regional Academies (for police) or the Georgia Fire Academy (for firefighters) can help you determine if you meet the requirements of any of the these programs. Post 9-11 GI Bill

Individuals with active duty service since September 11, 2001, may be eligible for these benefits including tuition and fees, a housing allowance, a books and supplies stipend, and the option to transfer these benefits to family members under certain circumstances. Georgia National Farm Worker Jobs Program (Telamon Corporation)

This non-profit provides assistance to farm workers and their dependents living below the poverty line. If you have worked or are the dependent/spouse of someone who has worked on a season basis doing farm work in the past 12 to 24 months, you may qualify for assistance.
