The Georgia Fire Academy conducted a Trench Rescue Technician course February 29-March 4, 2016. This course was beneficial to those departments that currently operate a trench rescue team or have the possibility of being deployed on a GSAR team.
The course served as a general overview of the skills needed to perform as a trench rescue technician according to NFPA Standards. Skills demonstrated and practiced during the course will benefit any rescuer and/or rescue team that may respond to trench rescue incidents.
