The GPSTC is pleased to announce the launching of a new series of online courses that explores the many aspects of Islamist Terrorism. Understanding Islamist Terrorism is a 16-hour independent online series of courses that is designed to explain Islam and Islamic Theology from a Law Enforcement perspective. The course is offered in two-hour modules that will give you an understanding of the history of Islam, as a faith and as a government, and also explains the tensions between Islam and the United States of America. Modules 1-4 are available for registration now. Check back for Modules 5-8!

Module 1: Discusses the basic principles and practices of the Islamic faith, a history of the faith, and the life of the Prophet Muhammad.

Module 2: Explains the Qur’an, Hadith, and Sunnah.

Module 3: Compares Islam to Christianity and explores the different Islamic Sects.

Module 4: Examines Shariah Law, discusses Lying and Deception based on Islamic theology, and explains the Islamic concept of the Ulema.
