Firefighter and firefighter EMTs unfortunately often encounter dangerous situations when responding to calls and dealing with the public. In order to equip Georgia’s firefighters and firefighter EMTs with the skills necessary to protect themselves, GPSTC’s Georgia Fire Academy has developed an 8-hour course designed to teach the warning signs of impending danger, techniques for de-escalating tense situations, and basic self-defense maneuvers.

Georgia firefighters, EMTs and other emergency personnel who respond to medical and public assistance situations are welcome to attend either of our two upcoming sessions:
