Learn what it takes to run a successful protective security operation. Law enforcement and correctional officers are often tasked with providing security to high profile individuals who are at increased risk of attack due their status as a celebrity, juror, defendant, victim, or political or government official. This course provides students with the training necessary to conduct protective security operations based on current threat concerns and will emphasize close protection, advance work, and a practical exercise requiring application of the subjects discussed in classroom lectures.

Due to the LAW ENFORCEMENT SENSITIVE nature of this course, students MUST:
(1) Be employed by a local, state or federal law enforcement agency or correctional facility.
(2) Possess a Georgia P.O.S.T. Basic Law Enforcement or Correctional Officer certification.

SPECIAL NOTES:

Students will participate in off-campus practical exercises conducted at public locations. Professional business attire is required, and should include a suit or sport coat.
