Firearms proudly announces their new course, Patrol Rifle 2 (Optics). This course is the highly anticipated follow-up to their original Patrol Rifle course.

The first Patrol Rifle course requires students to use the rifle’s iron sights, no optic sights allowed. This teaches the officers the skills necessary to use their weapons, even in the event of an optic sight failure.

If you have completed this first course and are assigned a patrol rifle with optics, then this new three-day course is for you! Scheduled for May 11-13, 2015, the course is designed to instruct the student how to shoot with the optic sights. Students will participate in shooting exercises which feature moving target engagements, multiple targets, and decision reaction problems.

Special Notes: Students will need to bring a patrol rifle equipped with a red dot sighting device, shooting sling, cleaning gear, and other equipment to be used in these assignments. You will be provided with .223 and .308 caliber ammunition. If your patrol rifle uses any other caliber, you are required to bring 400 rounds of duty ammunition.
