The Georgia Public Safety Training Center is offering Police Cyclist on October 2.

The Police Cyclist course will provide the student with a basic understanding and skill handling of a police mountain bicycle during law enforcement situations. After taking this course, students will have the knowledge how to effectively utilize the police mountain bike in various riding conditions. Topics will include bicycle maintenance, basic fitness and nutrition, bicycle safety, patrol procedures, and police bicycle tactics.

Students must bring the following:

  • duty issued police mountain bicycle (with pedal retention devices, water bottle cage, headlight, rear flashing taillight, rear-mount kick stand)
  • rain gear
  • duty gear (to include, but not limited to: firearm, magazine, baton, belt keepers, handcuffs)
