Domestic terrorists continue to threaten our national security and pose great risk to our country’s law enforcement officers. In order to equip Georgia officers with the tools they need to effectively identify terrorist groups and understand their motives and operations, GPSTC has scheduled Domestic Terrorism: The Enemy (LPAA13405), a one-day course on October 29, 2013. The course will teach students the components of domestic terrorist movements through the use of historical and modern examples.

Students will study our nation’s terrorist legacy from its beginnings to the modern day, including racial supremacist groups such as the KKK and the Nation of Islam, political revolutionary and separatist groups such as the Weather Underground and the SLA. The course will also examine modern domestic terrorist incidents such as the Boston Marathon bombing, the Fort Hood shooting, the Oklahoma City bombing, and the Atlanta Olympic Park bombing.

Don’t miss this opportunity to earn 8 POST hours while gaining an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of domestic terrorism.
