Criminal Investigative Analysis, to be held at the GPSTC on August 11-15, prepares investigators and analysts to produce a psychological analysis of a serial sexual offender or lust murderer to guide the criminal investigation, eliminate persons not of interest, and enable the investigator to focus resources on development of leads more efficiently. The course uses actual cases and hypothetical scenarios, combined with cognitive training on the behavioral indicators, to yield an analytical product.
This course is LAW ENFORCEMENT SENSITIVE. Due to the nature of the course, the following prerequisites must be met:

(1) Employed by a local, state or federal law enforcement agency, and assigned or pending part or full time assignment, as a criminal intelligence analyst.
(2) Agencies who allow student registration for this course acknowledge a commitment to allow the student to complete the course series as required for participation in the C.C.I.A. certification program. See SPECIAL NOTES for additional information regarding certification.

SPECIAL NOTES:

This fee is the responsibility of the student applicant (or their agency), and is not provided by GPSTC.

Agencies who allow student registration for these programs acknowledge a commitment to allow the student to complete the course series required for participation in the certification program.
