GSU Tour GroupOn Friday, October 10, the GPSTC hosted members of the Georgia State University Criminal Justice Student Association for an afternoon of touring and learning.

Tim Melton, GPSTC Instructor, guided the Association members on the tour of the facility and various members of GPSTC Instructional Staff provided lessons on different aspects of Criminal Justice careers.

The GSU students got an insider look at Criminal Justice disciplines that included forensics and traffic reconstruction.

The students also learned about the training that every officer must go through to be effective on the job: physical training, prisoner care and custody, emergency vehicle operation, response to calls for service, and firearms/use of deadly force training.

The GPSTC is proud to have hosted the Georgia State University Criminal Justice Student Association and looks forward to working with these future law enforcement officers!

Special thanks to Tim Melton and the following GPSTC Instructors: Lee Croxton, Bruce Stanford, Glyn Corbitt, and Penny Hodges.
