Governor's Initiative Online Courses
Use of Force and De-escalation training are required of all sworn law enforcement officers in the state. Officers must also complete a minimum of two hours Community Policing training every year, along with Human Trafficking and Gang Awareness.
These courses are inclusive of, not in addition to, the 20-hour continuing education required by O.C.G.A. §35-8-21.

- Building Positive Police-Community Relations (4 hours P.O.S.T. Community Policing credit)
- Cultural Adeptness in Law Enforcement (1 hour P.O.S.T. Community Policing credit)
- Cultural Awareness (2 hours P.O.S.T. Community Policing credit)
- Fostering Positive Community Relations (3 hours P.O.S.T. Community Policing credit)
- Mental and Emotional Wellness (4 hours P.O.S.T. Community Policing credit)
- Police Legitimacy and Procedural Justice for Community Relations (4 hours P.O.S.T. Community Policing credit)
