• Who is invited?
    • All local, state, and federal public safety personnel are invited to attend the celebration. (Credentials will be checked at the gate.)
      This includes, but is not limited to:

      • Law Enforcement, Jail, Communications, Correctional, and DCS Officers
      • Firefighters
      • Emergency Medical
      • Emergency Management
      • Coroners
      • Prosecutors
      • Investigators
      • Resident Agencies
      • Support Staff with Agency ID
    • No family members will be admitted.

 

  • Do I need to register through GPSTC registration?
    • No, you do NOT need to register through your student account. However, an RSVP at https://www.gpstc.org/30th-rsvp is appreciated.
    • You will be required to sign in at the on-site registration area upon arrival.

 

  • I’m in public safety, but I am from another state. Can I attend?
    • Yes! We welcome public safety personnel from any state. Your credentials will be checked at the gate. Please note that your family members will not be allowed to enter.

 

  • Can I bring my family?
    • Due to security and safety concerns, only public safety personnel will be allowed to enter the gates.

 

  • What public safety credential are accepted?
    • Badges

    • Retired Badges

 

  • What are the planned events?
    • Schedule:
      • 7:30 a.m. Registration begins.
      • 9:00 a.m. Motorcycle Rodeo.
      • 10:00 a.m. New Precision Driving Course Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, featuring Governor Nathan Deal and Attorney General Chris Carr.
      • 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Free Lunch
      • 3:00 p.m. Big Ticket Giveaways! (Must be present to win.)
    • Public Safety Product Showcase:
      • 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
      • Outdoor demonstrations will end at 3:00 p.m.
    • Continuous throughout the day:
      • Firearms demonstrations.
      • Shooting opportunities.
      • Explosives detonations.
      • Firefighting equipment demonstrations.
      • Vehicle demonstrations.

 

  • What time should I get there?
    • Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. However, you may come at any time before 2:30 p.m.

 

  • Where do I park?
    • Parking will be clearly marked – in the North and South Parking Lots. The GPSTC Police Department will be directing traffic and will guide you to the appropriate parking area.

 

  • What is the registration process?
    • Registration will be set up in two locations – at the North Parking Lot Conference Center entrance and the South Parking Lot Atrium entrance.
    • You will be required to sign in with your name, agency, phone number, and emergency contact information.
    • You will receive a wristband that will also include your lunch ticket. Please keep up with the lunch ticket to ensure that you receive your free lunch.
    • You will receive a map of the facilities, marking events, restrooms, and food stations. The schedule of events will be listed on the back of the map.

 

  • Can I come for the afternoon only?
    • Yes, you will be able to come to the event for the afternoon only. However, entrance to the event will be cut off at 2:30 p.m.

 

  • Is there a map available showing the location of events?
    • Yes, at registration.

 

  • Can I drive my vehicle around campus?
    • Personal cars will remain parked in the North and South Parking Lots until departure from the Training Center. There will be continuous shuttle service to all main areas of activities.

 

  • What is the dress code?
    • Duty attire is preferred.
    • If you are in plain clothes, you must conceal carry.

 

  • Can I buy food/drinks at the celebration?
    • Lunch is being provided for free. A drink will be included with the lunch.
    • Additional drinks will be provided for free throughout the day.

 

  • What time will lunch be served?
    • Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

 

  • Can I bring in my own food and drinks?
    • Outside food and drinks can be brought in, as long as it remains in your vehicle.

 

  • Can I bring in a cooler?
    • Yes, as long as it remains in your vehicle.
    • NO alcohol will be permitted on campus.

 

 

  • Do I have to be present to win the giveaways?
    • You must be present to win big ticket giveaways.
    • Winners will be announced in the Conference Center, starting at 3:00 p.m.

 

  • Will I receive POST credit for training?
    • No, but you will be a part of GPSTC history, see some amazing public safety products, network with your peers, and possibly win something really cool!
