GPSTC’s Instructional Services Division (ISD) supports the Training Center through superior customer service; innovative curriculum development and delivery; creative problem solving; exceptional project management; student and agency registration, records management; and, secure, reliable, and integrated technology solutions. ISD is comprised of two sections: Leadership and Curriculum Services and Technical Services.

The Leadership and Curriculum Services section provides research and development for basic, advanced and specialized training courses in both online and classroom-based training formats. Maintenance and approval of all Master Course files are handled through Instructional Services and the division serves as liaison with the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council and with the Georgia Fire Standards and Training Council for course approvals. Additionally, the section also develops and delivers leadership training courses.

The Technical Services section supports the delivery of training and the business operations of the Training Center. All technical aspects of the Training Center are managed through this section. The section supports audio-visual equipment used in the delivery of training. All requests for audio-visual support should be submitted to [email protected]. Additionally, the Print Shop is maintained through this section. The Print Shop prints training material used in classroom instruction. Request for printing should be submitted to [email protected].

The Instructional Services Division is also tasked with providing registration services. The registration unit manages class rosters, student disposition entry, credit assignment, and the retention of training records.
