Yes. The GI Bill will reimburse students for Basic Law Enforcement Training. You must pay up front and during your training, we will file the paperwork for reimbursement.

You are not required to stay on campus overnight, however classes begin early and tardiness and absences are not accepted. You might find that it is more convenient to stay on campus.

The Basic Law Enforcement Training course takes 11 weeks to complete.

Our Basic Law Enforcement Training courses are designed to allow students to complete their training in as short amount of time as possible. Therefore, classes run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or later. We do not offer an evening-only program.

While we don’t make placement calls for you, hiring managers have repeatedly indicated that they prefer graduates of the GPSTC Basic Law Enforcement Training program to graduates of other programs. Agencies often call us for a list of pre-service students that are available for hire. For more information on placement, you should speak to the manager of the regional academy you plan to attend.
