The 46th Annual Georgia Fire Safety Symposium started today with 330 pre-registered attendees. The Macon-Bibb County Fire Department presented colors, and Jeff Dean, with GPSTC Fire Academy Division, performed the National Anthem.

The Georgia Fire Safety Symposium will last throughout the week with thirty-eight training topics being delivered to Georgia’s Fire Service Personnel. The focus will be on the disciplines of fire inspections, fire investigations, fire and life safety education, hazardous materials, and the private fire protection industry. The Symposium will offer invaluable networking opportunities and thirty-four exhibitors on display.

On June 21 at 12:45pm, there will be a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony for the George M. Lanier Fire Protection Laboratory, an innovative learning environment that offers students a more hands-on training experience.
