Mike Davis is currently assigned to the Basic Training Division at GPSTC-Cherokee/Rome.
His public safety career beginning in 1997 as a jailer/dispatcher. He was then selected to attend and later completed mandate in 2001.
During his career, he performed duties ranging from a patrol officer to shift Sergeant, later becoming a Lieutenant over the Patrol Division and also the Investigations Division. The bulk of his career has been in investigations, working over 14 years as an investigator.
During his tenure with the Investigations Division, Mike was assigned to narcotics. During this assignment, Mike worked alongside numerous agencies throughout the tri-state area, including agencies in Tennessee and North Carolina. While in this position, Mike completed SWAT, Sniper, and Crime Scene Tech training along with numerous other classes pertaining to investigations.
In 2008, he became a Georgia POST certified instructor and assisted in teaching classes throughout the North Georgia area including GPSTC and NCGLEA.
Prior to Law Enforcement, Davis served in the United States Army as an Infantryman with the 3rd/327th Infantry Brigade of the 101st Airborne/Air Assault Division in Fort Campbell Kentucky, with one deployment overseas.
