Biography

Christopher Coogle joined the staff of the Georgia Fire Academy at GPSTC in 2017 as the Handling Flammable and Combustible Liquids Coordinator and Instructor.
Coogle began his firefighting career in the United States Navy in 1993 as a shipboard firefighter. After serving four years in the Navy, he received an Honorable Discharge.

Coogle ensued various jobs until returning to his fire service career in 2000 as a firefighter with Americus Fire and Emergency Services. In 2006 while with Americus Fire, Coogle advanced his training earning his paramedic certification.

After spending eight years with Americus, Coogle decided to accept an opportunity with West Point Fire Department in 2009. While with West Point, Coogle obtained an extensive amount of training to gain more experience and further his knowledge of the fire service. He also earned his college degree’s while with at West Point. Coogle then joined Georgia Public Safety Training center in 2017.

Chris is married to Christy and they have two children, a daughter and a son.
