Combination and Volunteer Quality ManagementFFAA15179
This course is designed to present key information, which will be integral to enhancing the present organizational structure, formal planning and performance management in Combination and Volunteer Fire Departments in Georgia. Topics include Management and Organizational Structure, Strategic Planning, Performance Management, Combination and Volunteer Operations Management, and Stakeholder Relations.

Special Notes: Class runs Friday through Sunday. Friday will be 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday all day.

Who Should Attend: Combination and Volunteer Fire Department Managers or soon to be Managers

Registered Volunteer Live Burn – FFAA15201 – May 16, 2015
This course is designed to give firefighters the basic knowledge, skills and confidence needed to control and extinguish structural fires. Students will participate in firefighting drills in various stages of fire progress and will learn to recognize the various fire conditions and dangers associated with interior structural firefighting. Practical drills include a live fire demonstration of fire of an at grade fire attack. The course is based upon performance objectives and students must complete all objectives to receive credit for the course. This course meets the live burn requirement for registered volunteer status.

Prerequisite: Persons accepted in this course must be a member of a fire department in compliance with O.C.G.A. Title 25-3-23 and must have successfully completed the Basic Volunteer Firefighter course and tested through Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training.

Special Notes: Students will be required to provide structural firefighting personal protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus. A spare cylinder is not required but would be beneficial

Firefighter Self Rescue and Mayday – FFAA15216 – May 17, 2015
This 8-hour session will present information on the potential for firefighters to become lost, disoriented or trapped while conducting interior structural firefighting activities and techniques which will assist them to call for help and perform self-rescue techniques.

Special Notes: Students must provide positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus and full structural firefighter protective clothing to include boots, coat, pants, gloves, helmet, and hood. All clothing and equipment must be in good condition and meet applicable NFPA standards. No shorts or sleeveless shirts may be worn.
