Technical Services and Video Surveillance Operations

Technical Services and Video Surveillance Operations is an intensive, hands-on course transforms students with no skills or prior knowledge of covert surveillance equipment into qualified and confident users of various systems. Students who attend this course can put their training to use for their department immediately upon completing the classes and will gain valuable skills including how to make repairs to equipment in the field, which will save their agencies time and money.

Open to: Officers, investigators, or supervisors who uses, or supervises those who use audio, RF and video surveillance equipment in support of undercover drug investigations.

Advanced Technical Services

Advanced Technical Services allows officers to build upon skills gained in the pre-requisite Technical Services and Video Surveillance Operations course. Students will improve their covert electronic systems knowledge through hands-on training in the areas of electronics craftsmanship and fabrication, installation and operation of surveillance equipment including RF transmitters, video concealment devices and IR illuminators.
