On June 18, 2018, GPSTC will be offering a 4-hour train-the-trainer program on the Stinger Spike Systems rapid tire deflation systems. The class consists of approximately one hour of classroom instruction covering pursuit policies, safety issues, and deployment methods. The class then moves outside for approximately 2-3 hours of hands-on training. Each officer will be instructed on the pull method and curbside deployment method, using our spikeless training units. Vehicles will be used during this time to create “real-life” scenarios.
