Public Safety Personnel: You asked for it and now it’s back. “Personal Protective Measures for Biological Events” will be held at the GPSTC on September 28, 2015.

This one-day, eight-hour course includes an overview of the bio-threat, demonstrations of proper donning and doffing of personal protective equipment, and technical decontamination protocols. The course provides students with activities that include agility drills and skill practicing sessions that include donning and doffing of PPE using the buddy system. This course will culminate with the students demonstrating the donning and doffing of PPE in a technical decontamination exercise that will include a self-assessment and instructor performance checklist with feedback. It is highly recommended that students be trained in Haz-mat according to their discipline.
