GPSTC is offering the highly sought after Criminal Procedure course October 31st through November 4th. Through classroom presentation and discussion, this course provides Georgia officers with an overview of the Constitution and Bill of Rights as it applies to law enforcement, with emphasis on the 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, and 14th Amendments.
Additional topics include police-citizen contacts, warrantless searches and seizures, lineups and pre-trial identifications, and interviews, confessions and the Miranda warnings. This course concludes with a legal update and guidance for new and frequently utilized statutes in Georgia Title 16 – Crimes and Offenses and Title 17 – Criminal Procedure.
