The Georgia Public Safety Training Center offers Criminal Apprehension for Patrol at the main campus in Forsyth, GA. The course is intended for officers assigned to traffic, patrol and interdiction duties with all levels of experience.

Attending this course will:

-improve legal and ethical decisions made by law enforcement officers during police-citizen encounters in accordance with federal and state law and appellate court decisions.

-improve criminal conviction rates due to lawful search & seizure.

-reduce risk to officers and citizens during roadside encounters, arrest situations and use of force incidents.

Key topics will include law enforcement ethics, the 2-3-4 Rule, a review of significant motor vehicle case law, searching motor vehicles, contraband interdiction, response to active shooters, conducting traffic stops, use of force, and a legislative and case law review.
