The Georgia Public Safety Training Center is now offering a TASER course for anyone employed with a local, state, or federal law enforcement agency and is designated to carry and use a TASER on duty. The course is designed to certify the user in the use of the TASER Conducted Electrical Weapon (CEW), specifically the X26.
It will provide a brief overview of CEW technology, medical safety, and use in tactical considerations. Students will experience the effects of the TASER and get the chance to deploy the TASER in various practical applications. TASER exposure is mandatory for this course.
Additional Information: Students must bring duty gear (minus firearm, ammo, OC spray, baton). Since the student will be assigned a TASER for in-class use, an agency supplied TASER is optional. Comfortable clothes should be worn for the duration of this course.
