GPA will be offering a Law Enforcement Officer’s Response to Domestic Violence at the Savannah Regional Academy, October 3 through October 7. The course is designed for law enforcement training in the investigation of family violence incidents in compliance with OCGA 17-4-20. The course will provide the skills and knowledge necessary to enforce O.C.G.A. 19-13-1 in a safe and legal manner. Topics will include criminal law, civil law, liability, officer safety, ethnic and racial considerations, and report writing.
