Description of Duties & Responsibilities

Under general supervision, works in the preparation, cooking, serving and distribution of food. Operates and maintains specialized food service equipment. Follows cleaning, storage, and sanitation procedures. May supervise the work of part-time food service workers and inmate labor.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma/GED and two years of experience in the preparation, cooking, serving of food in a food service operation, one of which was as a lead worker.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference may be given to those applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum training & experience requirements, possess one or more of the following:

  • ServSafe Food Handler Certified
