The Georgia Public Safety Training Center continuously seeks to improve and expand the training services we offer to our public safety customers. For that reason, we provide online training for a selection of lecture-based classes in which self-guided instruction is possible. These courses are offered through GPSTC’s Instructional Services Division, and we invite you to browse, register for and complete our online course offerings, many of which are eligible for POST credit. Be advised that GPSTC continues to develop its online training program, and we appreciate your patience as we strive to improve your learning experience.
Students who complete online training modules will receive POST credit in the same manner as with the Center’s on-campus courses. Students should allow up to four weeks for this information to be reflected with POST.
Independent Online Learning (On-Demand)
These courses consist of recorded presentations, videos, and supplemental handouts based on structured learning objectives. These online courses are done at the student’s pace, provide POST credit, and are an excellent source for in-service training.
Interactive Online Learning
Sessions have a designated coordinator that communicates with students. The coordinator may require students to submit various assignments, participate in class discussions, or enforce specific deadlines.
Blended Learning
Sessions are comprised of a combination of independent or interactive online learning followed by mandatory participation in scheduled face-to-face training session(s).
