O.C.G.A. 38-3-57 requires Georgia public safety agencies to adopt the National Incident Management System Incident Command System (NIMS ICS). NIMS ICS is a system that provides a consistent nationwide approach for federal, state and local governments to work effectively together to prepare, respond and recover from domestic incidents, regardless of the cause, size or complexity.
