Effective November 30, 2012, four of the regional burn buildings once owned by GPSTC have been acquired and will be managed by the local agencies on whose property they sit. The Training Center is grateful to the local government entities for their willingness to take on the management, maintenance and responsibility for their usage. To use these buildings for training, contact the respective cities or counties: Tifton, Valdosta, Washington, or Laurens County.

A fifth regional burn building at Cave Springs will be decommissioned as a training site and some of its components will be brought to Forsyth to enhance campus facilities. The remaining two burn buildings in Americus and Habersham County have been acquired and will be operated by South Georgia Technical School and North Georgia Technical College respectively.
