On behalf of the training committee of the Georgia Assoc of Fire Chiefs, we hope that you found the educational sessions at the Spring Executive Conference of high value for you and your dept. We have several documents on this page for you to download listed below.
The first two are from Dr Rich Gasaway's presentation on decision making entitled, "50 ways to kill your firefighters". They include his presentation in PDF and also his check list to be used in managing the risks associated with our business.
We also have included the documents you learned about from J. Gordon Routley on the tragedy at Charleston. There are three documents, the first two from Gordons committee, the phase one and phase two reports. We also include the recently released NIOSH report on Charleston.
It is our hope that documents like these are used to help PREVENT similar situations from occurring, in keeping with the Spring sessions theme of prevention.
