Several colleges and universities offer transfer hours for courses taken at GPSTC. Students should provide colleges and universities with a copy of their GPSTC transcript when making a decision to pursue higher education to see if their preferred college or university offers credit. The universities listed below have specified programs for which they offer transfer credit toward degrees in criminal justice.
Middle Georgia State University allows students who are approved by the Peace Officer Standards Training Council (POST) to attend the Basic Law Enforcement Training program at GPSTC to earn credits toward a certificate and/or degree in public safety.
Argosy University has approved the Basic Law Enforcement Training Program for transfer credit hours.
The University of Phoenix has approved many of GPSTC’s courses for transfer credit hours. Approved courses include both police and fire disciplines at the basic and advanced levels.
Reinhardt University serves public safety professionals by combining academic degree programming with professional training. Reinhardt has approved the Basic Law Enforcement Training Course for academic credit along with Basic Jail Officer, Supervision I-III, Management I-III, and select intermediate certification courses.
